After two years of Corona interruption, a Blick media camp will take place again starting Sunday. For the third time, young people will spend a week in the newsroom of the Blick Group in Zurich learning about journalism.

New faces in the newsroom: Sunday evening sees the start of the third Blick media camp with thirteen young people aged 16 to 22. The young talents are guests of the Blick Group for a week. They will be trained in the various disciplines of journalism, researching stories, writing articles and shooting videos.

Two participants per department get a direct insight into the media world, learn from professionals in daily courses and are in constant exchange with the journalists of the View-editorship. The program is supplemented by joint evening events such as a tour of the print shop, a visit to the open race course in Oerlikon, a recording of a talk show and an evening at the movies.

"The Mediacamp functions like a talent factory for the School of Journalism," explains Peter Hossli, who is the new head of the Ringier School of Journalism organized the media camp for the first time. "We discover talents who would like to come to journalism school later or who can develop on the Blick editorial staff." Hossli is pleased with the great interest in the Mediacamp: "We had many good applications, which shows me that journalism continues to exude great appeal for young people."

"The past two media camps have shown us that the young colleagues, with their commitment, curiosity and fresh ideas, are a real enrichment for the Blick Group and that not only they can learn a lot from us, but also we can learn a lot from them," adds Christian Dorer, Editor-in-Chief Blick Group.
