SRG sets out principles for the use of artificial intelligence

The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG) regulates the use of artificial intelligence on its channels according to three general principles. The responsibility for its use always lies with humans. One of these is that artificial intelligence can never replace human expertise.

It merely serves as a working tool, the first principle published on X on Thursday also states. Users must check the accuracy of the results generated. The second principle requires transparency when using artificial intelligence (AI). AI-generated content must therefore always be labeled.

The third principle obliges SRG broadcasters to maintain the confidentiality of AI-generated content. In particular, no personal data, copyright-protected content or SRG business secrets may be entered into AI tools that have not been checked and approved. (SDA)
