The biker savvy

Many French bikers probably imagined the start of the motorcycle season a little differently than herding them home to their own four walls. Honda comforts them.

In Switzerland, too, the police have asked motorcyclists to refrain from Sunday rides and to stay at home. Not because they could catch the disease on the pass, but because the hospitals should not be burdened with bikers who have had accidents. Media reports and a look at the road show: This has worked out semi-optimally. On peak days, the difference is not noticeable on popular motorcycle routes.

This is different in countries that have stricter lockdown rules and real curfews. Anyone who leaves the house is only allowed to do so for a good reason and for the next possible destination. No pleasure rides, no strolling around. That's why it's also true for the bike group: The two-wheeler stays in the garage, even if it makes your throttle hand itch.

DDB has created a campaign in France for Honda that gives comfort. The message: We understand you, we all feel the same. And: better times are coming again. We can only agree with that.
