Ruf Lanz: Actually all VBZ lines are green

In June, VBZ and its lead agency Ruf Lanz won the ADC Evergreen Award for the second time. Now the next subjects are rolling in.

On June 18, 2022, VBZ and its lead agency Ruf Lanz received the coveted Evergreen Award from the Art Directors Club Switzerland for the second time. In doing so, ADC honored the creative consistency of the VBZ campaign "Umsteigen lohnt sich" over the past ten years.

The evergreen also matches the color of the VBZ. With their streetcars, trolleybuses and electric neighborhood buses, they transport 80 percent of all passengers with green, environmentally friendly electric energy. This proportion is to be further increased in order to further reduce CO2 emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.

To showcase this environmental advantage, Ruf Lanz has come up with three more subjects. Each with a different approach to the topic.

"A rather masochistic form of campaigning".

On the occasion of the campaign's 20th anniversary, Creative Director Markus Ruf explained its success in the city magazine vbzonline.ch as follows: "The VBZ campaign is a single-motif campaign. That's a pretty masochistic campaign form, because you need a new, preferably surprising idea every time. But that keeps the campaign on the pulse of time and constantly renews itself."

The current subjects appear double-page and full-page in "20 Minuten", are on the road in poster form in all vehicles of the VBZ Züri line and are also distributed via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
