Mars Switzerland launches animal shelter campaign for World Animal Day

As part of World Animal Day on October 4, Mars, Coop and the Swiss Animal Protection STS are campaigning for the adoption of animals from animal shelters. An awareness video will be shown in 180 Interdiscount stores, Microspot.ch showrooms and online on Coop.ch and Microspot.ch throughout Switzerland.

Mars

For the third time in a row the campaign of Mars Switzerland is focused on the adoption of animals from animal shelters of the sections of the Swiss Animal Protection STS. These often take longer to find a new home, as animals from abroad and breeding animals are preferred by many future pet owners*. This should change: Under the motto "Giving animals a home", the animal shelter is once again brought to the shopping center and thus to the consumers.

From October 4 to 10, a total of 22 homeless animals will be presented on TV screens and online on Coop.ch in around 180 Interdiscount stores throughout Switzerland. In addition, the animal portraits will be shown in all Microspot.ch showrooms and online at Microspot.ch from September 20 to October 24. The profiles of the animals are available on the website World Animal Day.ch to find.

Adopted almost all animals from previous campaigns

According to Mars Switzerland, the campaign from the past two years was a success: almost all presented animals from the animal shelters Rosel (Brügg BE), an der Ron (Root LU) and Strubeli (Volketswil ZH) found a new home during or shortly after the campaign period.
