Sir Mary wins Megaphon Award as "Newcomer Agency 2019".

On January 31, the Zurich-based agency Sir Mary won one of the coveted Megaphon Awards from the Econ publishing house - it was named "Newcomer Agency 2019". Werbewoche was present at the award ceremony in Berlin.

Econ Verlag honored Sir Mary as "Newcomer Agency 2019" for the DACH region on January 31 in Berlin. The award honors agencies that provide creative impetus to the industry with fresh ideas and exceptional activities. A jury, which also includes the Advertising Week Part is, evaluates for this the quality of the work, the economic success as well as the quality of the self-promotion and PR.

About the agency: On course for growth since 2016

Daniel Zuberbühler, Florian Beck and Maurizio Rugghia founded Sir Mary in May 2016. Today, the Zurich agency has 28 employees, is economically profitable and has well-known clients. Among others, the team at Bertastrasse manages the creative and media budget of Allianz Suisse and is now the creative lead agency of Samsung in Switzerland.

If you would like to read more about Sir Mary, you will find an in-depth interview by our editor Ann-Kathrin Kübler with the agency's founders in Werbewoche 1/19. In issue 2/19, which will be published at the beginning of March, editor Johannes Hapig reports in retrospect on the award ceremony in Berlin.

Agency travels to Berlin with management team

Because not all employees were able to travel to Berlin for the award ceremony (some had to hold down the fort in Zurich, as business continued as usual despite the award), Sir Mary sent the agency's eight partners to the German capital.

On behalf of the entire team Daniel Zuberbühler, Owner, Managing Partner; Florian Beck, Owner, Chief Creative Officer; Maurizio Rugghia, Owner, Managing Partner; Nicolas Hostettler, Strategy Director, Partner; Tino Elsener, Account Director, Partner; Fabian Habisreutinger, Director Media & Analytics, Partner; Vanessa Habisreutinger, Director Media & Technology, Partner and Pascal Baumann, Creative Director, Partner received the award.

"It's not just the idea that counts, it's the facts".

Managing Partner Maurizio Rugghia was particularly pleased at the ceremony that "it's not just an award idea that counts, but that commercial success is also judged. This is not a question of taste, these are facts."

And Daniel Zuberbühler added: "What is also nice, of course, is that the award covers Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Now we can radiate out from Switzerland - especially in the wake of the fact that we recently established a branch office in Munich."
