Frontwork builds for Coop Reindeer

As part of Coop's new "Freud schänke" Christmas campaign, Frontwork recreated forty life-size reindeer.

So that the Christmas campaign could be launched as a surprise, the customer placed the order under strict secrecy, according to the statement. The brief was to produce a 3-D animal model that looked like a cow. Only a narrow circle of employees directly involved knew that it was a reindeer.

The models are life size, with defined eyes, horns and fur. Frontwork made a polyester mold, which was painted by airbrush. The details were worked out by a make-up artist and the animal model was partially decorated with fake fur. According to the press release, the time pressure was great: the team produced a total of forty animal models in ten weeks and delivered them on time to Coop stores throughout Switzerland.

The project could only be realized within this short period of time because the decision-making channels were short and everyone involved worked together easily and with commitment.
