Clio Awards: Final places for Ruf Lanz, Stories and Serranetga

With Ruf Lanz, Stories and Serranetga, no less than three Zurich-based creative forges have made it onto the shortlist for this year's Clio Awards. The winners will be announced in the week of September 14.

The Clio Awards are one of the most prestigious international creative competitions, and are among the highest-scoring in Werbewoche's creative rankings. In the print category, Ruf Lanz made it onto the shortlist with its campaign for Welti Furrer-Kunsttransporte. The Campaign demonstrates how carefully works of art are transported with Welti Furrer. To this end, the creatives brought Mona Lisa, Vincent Van Gogh and Jan Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring to life and placed them in first-class airplane cabins.

Stories has also made it onto the shortlist. In the "Film Technique" category, the Zurich-based film production company has the right to compete with the international Triump campaign "Find the one hope for one of the coveted Clio Awards. From mid-April to mid-May, a Swiss-made spot ran on German, English and Italian TV screens: With the concept of a mix of real and animated characters - unprecedented in the industry - Stories prevailed over international competitors and secured the direct order from the underwear label Triumph. The spot is part of the international campaign Find the One with US model Hannah Ferguson.

Last but not least, Serranetga also has a chance of winning some precious metal. As part of the launch campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S6, the party to celebrate the birth of the device took place at Zurich's main train station. On the screen of a five-meter-high Galaxy S6 edge, Seven imitated the moves of passers-by to his new song "Nobody wants to dance". What the participants didn't know was that this wasn't an avatar of the singer - Seven was live on site for a whole eight hours and was able to observe and react to what was happening in the hall via transmission. The official music video for the song was edited from over six hours of footage. (hae/pd)
