Weko waves through Tamedia takeovers
The Weko allows the media group to take over Tutti.ch and Car4you.ch. Further Weko decisions on acquisitions and license agreements by Tamedia are already pending in the fall.
The media company Tamedia can use the advertising platforms Tutti.ch and Car4you.ch in its entirety. The Swiss Federal Competition Commission (Comco) considers the takeover to be unobjectionable. This was confirmed by Weko Deputy Director Patrik Ducrey to SDA on Wednesday.
Further decisions in the fall
Until now, Tamedia and the Norwegian Schibsted Media Group held the platforms jointly - Tamedia is taking over the 50 percent stake held by the Norwegian group (Werbewoche.ch reported). The acquisition will be completed at the beginning of July.
Independently of this decision, the Weko is currently examining the announced acquisition of the Ricardo Group by Tamedia and the planned license agreement between JobCloud and JobScout24 in more detail. These decisions are expected in the fall of 2015. (SDA)
