Baz: Succession plan in the management of Die Zeitungsdrucker
Felix Bitterli, Managing Director of "Die Zeitungsdrucker Schweiz," is handing over management of the printing center in Basel after more than 16 years. Patrick Hohler will be responsible for the newspaper printing production area with immediate effect.
As part of a succession plan, Felix Bitterli will focus on third-party customer support from 2013. He has been with Basler Zeitung Medien for 38 years. After holding various other positions, most recently as Technical Manager Customer Printing and Vice Director, he took over as Managing Director of the printing center in 1996, which has been operating as an independent subsidiary of Basler Zeitung Medien under the name "Die Zeitungsdrucker Schweiz" since 2011. In the past 16 years, he was responsible, among other things, for the construction of the new printing center with eight printing towers from the German manufacturer König & Bauer between 2002 and 2004 and managed various other areas of Basler Zeitung Medien, such as marketing.
The new Head of Newspaper Production, Patrick Hohler, has been working at the printing center on Hochbergstrasse since 1991. After completing an apprenticeship as a typographer, he worked in various areas of the print center before being appointed Application Manager in 2008. Since 2011, as Deputy Managing Director of the printing center, he has been responsible for the entire data processing and data preparation processes.
