Ruf Lanz: New Suva campaign against trip and fall accidents

Suva launched a long-term prevention campaign against trips and falls a year ago, created by Ruf Lanz. Now the campaign is entering the next phase.

About one third of tripping and falling accidents occur on stairs. Each staircase accident results in average costs of around 6200 Swiss francs - that's 600 Swiss francs more than the average cost of a tripping accident. For this reason, the public is now being shown how to avoid accidents on stairs with little effort: By holding on to the handrail.

The creative agency has been responsible for Suva's prevention campaigns since 2001. The launch campaign used the example of conspicuously crashed shoes to show that more people have accidents in Switzerland every year as a result of tripping and falling than in car accidents.
