The LSA Junior Agency Award goes into the second round

Once again, students from three Swiss universities have the chance to take a look at everyday agency life. For this, they are to develop a communication concept to activate Swisscom's sponsorship commitment in football.

Following the launch of the first inter-university competition for marketing communications last year (advertisingweek.ch reported) starts the Junior Agency Award 2023 again in the semester. A communication concept for Swisscom's sponsoring commitment is being developed.

The Junior Agency Award is designed to give students from three Swiss universities in-depth insights into the everyday world of LSA member agencies. Based on a real client example, the students develop a campaign in teams and are each accompanied by an LSA agency. This year, Swisscom was won as a client. The students are given the task of developing an attention-grabbing and innovative communication concept to activate Swisscom's sponsorship commitment in Swiss football.

Preliminary decision end of May

Swisscom is a partner of the Swiss Football League and supports the Credit Suisse Super League, Switzerland's top soccer league. With Blue TV, it brings the whole world of football into Swiss living rooms. After the preliminary round at the end of May, the works will be presented and awarded at an awards ceremony on June 20, 2023, in front of an expert jury of agency representatives.

The LSA Junior Agency Award is run as an elective module at universities in German-speaking Switzerland with the aim of attracting more universities of applied sciences and universities to the university competition next year. This promotes the practical relevance of courses such as business administration, marketing or digital business management. The case study is designed to promote the practical application of theoretical knowledge and enhance teamwork skills. It offers the opportunity to give presentations in front of a large audience as well as to establish contacts with potential employers. At the same time, the award serves the participating LSA agencies to recruit young talent and the universities to increase the attractiveness of their training programs.

Participating universities are Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Arts (ZHAW), participating agencies are Bühler & Bühler, Contcept Communication, Feinheit, JvM Limmat, Serviceplan, Mediaschneider Zürich, Publicis Zürich, Wunderman Thompson, TBWA, Webrepublic, Die Botschafter, PHD, BCW Global, In Flagranti, Kargo, Polyconsult.
