Spina's Civil Voices: Stone Age on the Rhine

For Earth Hour 2014, WWF publishes a rating of the energy efficiency of Swiss municipalities. The result of the survey is disseminated by means of a sensational online and guerrilla campaign by Spina's Civil Voices.

Exemplary municipalities such as St. Gallen receive new place name signs with advantageous names such as St. Geilen.

At the entrance to the town, tail lights are suddenly called Steinzeit am Rhein or Nütikon am See.

Thanks to geo-targeting, Facebook users learn about the renaming of their own or the surrounding community. On the campaign website, they are invited to either congratulate their local politicians or give them a leg up. In addition, people can create their own community names. Participants can win professional lighting advice from Micasa worth 2000 Swiss francs. Many national and regional media picked up on the campaign, including Blick am Abend:
