Dachcom.digital launches publication app for the HSG

The University of St. Gallen HSG has launched a digital-only magazine: HSG Focus. The app was designed and implemented by Dachcom.digital.

The magazine replaces the previous HSG Gazette and is published as an app for tablets and smartphones. The magazine is available for the iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play Store) operating systems. HSG Focus is significantly more comprehensive and varied in terms of content than the previous HSG magazine, the agency said in a statement on Friday.

The new magazine is published four times a year and consists on the one hand of a dossier with articles on the main topic of the respective issue. On the other hand, there will be interesting news and background stories of public interest about university life. According to the press release, the magazine is aimed at the outside world - it is intended to appeal not only to the university community, but also to the general public.

The app is managed editorially via a CMS. For the launch on February 28, 2013, Dachcom also created information panels for the university campus as well as placemats and beer mats for the canteen and the HSG bar "Ad Hoc". In addition, a video animation was created for the digital application. All elements form part of the HSG-led launch campaign.
