Daniel Jörg becomes Digital Strategist at Farner

Daniel Jörg, 33, will become Digital Strategist at Farner Consulting as of January 1, 2013, and will also join the management team. The agency intends to expand its competencies in the field of digital communication.

Daniel Jörg was most recently digital strategist and head of Burson- Marsteller's digital capabilities team in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. In this role, he led Burson-Marsteller's digital strategy across the region and made a significant impact with existing clients as well as new business, the agency said in a statement Wednesday. Prior to that, Daniel Jörg was a member of the Executive Board & Head of Crossmedia at Burson-Marsteller Switzerland from 2008 to 2010.

After ten years in the communications industry, Jörg took time out in 2012 to pursue other interests. He traveled to Asia, moved to Sweden for a while, and lived out his musical passion. During this time, he remained true to the communications industry as an observer and commentator on Twitter (@danieljoerg) and his blog (Danieljoerg.com).

After studying journalism and media studies, business administration and international relations at the University of Zurich, Daniel Jörg established one of the first online units in the Swiss PR industry 10 years ago at Peter Bütikofer & Company. Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Daniel Jörg also worked as a consultant at Contexta, a Bern-based advertising house, where he rounded out his communications consulting profile with classic advertising expertise.
