The Swiss Effie awards marketing communications that are proven to be effective, creative and efficient, in terms of their cost/benefit ratio and ambitious marketing objectives. Participants must provide detailed evidence that the submitted communication has played the essential role in achieving the objectives.
Communication and advertising measures that were used in the years 2008 to 2011 can be submitted for the Swiss Effie 2012. For campaigns that are still running, current and meaningful figures must be provided. Campaigns that have already participated in previous Effie Awards cannot be submitted in identical form, but only with a new implementation. If the campaign was not conceived in Switzerland, the Effie submitter (agency or client) must prove that the campaign contains a substantial contribution from Switzerland. Campaigns that have been implemented in Switzerland and in at least one other European country at the same time can additionally participate in the category "International Campaigns". All communication agencies and/or advertising companies or clients based in Switzerland are eligible to participate.
Swiss Effie 2012 is organized and carried out by BSW Leading Swiss Agencies. 24 representatives of clients, science and research, and agencies make up the jury. The jury president is Torsten Tomczak, Director of the Research Center for Customer Insight FCI-HSG, University of St. Gallen.
