The current Head of Ringier Business Services, Christoph Haldi, will be appointed Chief People Officer of Ringier as of August 1, 2022. In his new role, he will report to Manuel Liatowitsch, Group General Counsel & Head Corporate Center at Ringier. A qualified teacher, Haldi holds a master's degree from the University of Bern and a Master of Advanced Studies in General Management.

The 51-year-old has held various management positions at Ringier since 2013. From January 2017 to July 2022, as Head of Business Services, he was responsible for setting up a shared service center in Switzerland comprising Finance Services, HR Services, Facility Management, Project Services, IT Infrastructure & Applications Services, IT Customer Services and Procurement.

"As Chief People Officer, Chris Haldi will focus on the further development of Group HR and HR Services - with the important topics of talent development, culture and inclusion of our employees in all 19 Ringier countries, especially also in the CEE countries that have been part of the Ringier Group since the end of last year as part of 100%," explains Manuel Liatowitsch. "The media industry is changing rapidly. People management is central to continuing Ringier's transformation into a technology-driven media group."

New challenge for Susanne Jud

The previous CPO Susanne Jud has decided to leave Ringier to take on a new challenge. Susanne Jud had first taken over the newly created function of Chief People Officer on an ad interim basis as of August 2020 and then definitively in November 2020. This was after she had held various HR management positions at Ringier since 2018.

New structure

Following the appointment of Christoph Haldi as CPO and his move to the Corporate Center, Ringier Business Services will be transferred to a new, functionally oriented structure: Finance Services will move to Group Accounting, for which Helene Schuler will be responsible. HR Services and Facility Management will be integrated into the Corporate Center headed by Manuel Liatowitsch. Procurement, IT Service Management, IT Customer Services, IT Infrastructure & Applications, and Project Services will become the responsibility of Marcus Dauck. His current Ringier Publishing Technology & Services division will be expanded to include the aforementioned departments and will be renamed Ringier Mediatech & Services. Dauck will continue to report to Alexander Theobald in his function as COO Ringier Switzerland.
