Radio Rumantsch and Radio Canal 3 are the most likeable radios in Switzerland
Radio Rumantsch is the most likeable radio station in Switzerland. Canal 3's bilingual Biel program leads the sympathy rankings for German and French-speaking Switzerland, closely followed by RadioFr, according to initial analyses of this year's MediaBrands study by Publicom.
In this year's MediaBrands study, Publicom examined 52 radio brands for their qualitative appeal to the audience. In terms of likeability, no other radio brand can compete with the Rhaeto-Romanic SRG radio station, which achieves the highest likeability score in Switzerland. In French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland, Biel's local radio station Canal 3 gets top marks from its listeners. It is almost on a par with the other bilingual local station, RadioFr. from Fribourg.
Third place on the podium is occupied by a public station in Switzerland's two major language regions: Radio SRF 2 Kultur and Couleur 3 respectively. In Italian and Romansh-speaking Switzerland, places two and three belong to SRG radio Rete Tre and private Radio3i. In total, six private Swiss local stations made it into the "Top 10" in both German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland.
With the MediaBrands study, Publicom annually determines the brand performance of media brands among the Swiss population. The 2021 survey was conducted in April and May and is based on a representative sample of 4,700 people aged 15-79. The statistical error rate is +/- 1.4%.
