The 2021 general meeting of IGEM Interessengemeinschaft elektronische Medien confirmed the president Stephan Küng and the board members running again. The long-standing board members Manfred Strobl and Axel Beckmann were bidden farewell. Newly elected to the board were Jonas Eliassen from Dentsu Switzerland and Xavier Reynaud from Mindshare. This means that one sixth of the IGEM board will be filled with new members, writes IGEM in a statement.

Since the last general meeting, IGEM has welcomed four new member companies. The media agencies Iundf Media Impact, Mediakanzlei, PMC Prezzi Media and Webrepublic are new members of IGEM. The total of 46 member firms thus represents a new record in IGEM's 23-year history, the release continues. With an amendment to the statutes approved by the general meeting, IGEM can now also offer special membership for start-up companies.

"The fact of being able to welcome new members even after 23 years, a confirmation of the importance of IGEM for the electronic media in Switzerland", IGEM President Stephan Küng is pleased about the new members:

With its members, IGEM covers the entire value chain in the electronic media and is committed to diverse and liberal advertising opportunities - especially in view of the increasing market concentration and the still tense advertising market. "Increasing digitization is slowly transforming all electronic media into digital media," Küng emphasizes. "This poses whole new challenges for communications and media planning. Our annual Digimonitor study creates transparency in this regard and is an important basis for strategy development."
