Germans get to enjoy Telebasel

From Weil am Rhein, Lörrach, Rheinfelden, Bad Säckingen to Waldshut-Tiengen and on to Auggen, Neuenburg and Müllheim, residents receive a total of 25 regional broadcasts and the full Fasnacht program. "We are very happy that our region no longer ends at the national borders in terms of media. Now residents in South Baden can also follow events in and around Basel - after all, we are one region," says Telebasel CEO Dominik Prétôt, delighted with the expansion, which the media company has been working towards for a long time. With the expansion, the broadcaster is taking advantage of the location of the Basel region with around 34,000 cross-border commuters from Germany. The Telebasel program will not change. The existing program that Telebasel viewers in the broadcasting area of north-western Switzerland are familiar with will be broadcast on a one-to-one basis. Telebasel will be broadcast unencrypted and digitally in standard quality (SD) on channel 168 and is included in the basic cable connection.

Viewers in the Swiss broadcasting area can now receive Telebasel in HD if the respective cable network operator has already taken over Telebasel's HD signal for this purpose.
