The submission phase for the Swiss Effie Awards 2018 has closed. Cases were submitted in all categories, including the two new categories "Media" and "Brand Campaign". However, most cases were submitted in the "Activation" category, followed by "Brand Experience" and "Brand Campaign". Frank Bodin, a member of the 2018 Effie management team, comments that a pleasingly high level can be noted across all categories. "Now it's up to the intelligence and creativity of the jury to separate the wheat from the precious metal. And in doing so, set fresh standards for effective and efficient advertising of the future."

Now the intelligence and creativity of the jury is required to separate the wheat from the precious metal.

In the next few days, the judging process will begin, which consists of two stages. In both stages, the same jurors will evaluate the cases. Stage one consists of online judging, stage two corresponds to the jury meeting.

The Swiss Effie Awards will be presented in gold, silver and bronze on May 15, 2018. Admeira is once again acting as host sponsor of the awards ceremony this year. In doing so, the advertising marketer is highlighting the importance of advertising procurement.

Bertrand Jungo, CEO of Admeira, says: "In the competition for attention for advertising messages, creativity and know-how are in demand. We are proud of the diversity of ideas available in Switzerland, which, in combination with the message and efficient choice of media, surprises us time and again with original and effective campaigns."

Founded by the American Marketing Association, the Effie is currently awarded in over 40 countries. The Effie honors effective and efficient brand communication and is therefore regarded by both clients and agencies as a prestigious credential. In Switzerland, the Swiss Effie Award has been presented since 1985. Because the effectiveness and efficiency of a campaign are also evaluated, it differs from other advertising awards, which mostly focus on creativity. Efficiency" measures the cost-benefit factor, "effectiveness" the success of a campaign in relation to the defined goals.
