Conan O'Brien pokes fun at Apple's new AirPods with a commercial.

There is no end to the gloating about the wireless earphones announced by Apple. After Durex Latenight host Conan O'Brien now makes fun of the features of the latest stroke of genius from the company's creative kitchen: expensive and susceptible to loss. Apple has already come up with a solution for the risk of loss: if you lose your AirPods, you buy new ones. Ingenious. O'Brien sums it up in the form of a classic iPod commercial.

That pretty much says it all. Almost. Because while the world is cursing, laughing and discussing, Apple has once again done a lot right. On the one hand, all iPhone 7 units were sold out before sales started. So the cable gate doesn't seem to have been a particular deterrent. On the other hand, more good updates were released before the iPhone sales launch than in a long time. iTunes, for example, which has been rightly criticized for years, suddenly surprises with its user-friendliness and overview. Or the in-house messenger iMessage has been strengthened to such an extent that you actually don't want to leave iOS. You probably also put up with the stupid earphones. (hae)
