Hear the World celebrates its tenth anniversary with a website relaunch implemented by Notch Interactive.

HTW-Triage-Ambassadors

The Hear the World Foundation, a Sonova initiative, is committed to equal opportunities and improved quality of life for people with hearing loss - especially children. In the foundation's anniversary year, Notch Interactive was commissioned to completely overhaul the website visually and technically so that the activities of the Hear the World Foundation can be experienced optimally and via all end devices in the future.

HTW-Triage-Navigation

The new website of the Hear the World Foundation has over 500 content pages in two languages and five navigation levels. The biggest challenge was to guide users clearly and efficiently across all pages in terms of content. For this purpose, a usability approach was developed that allows the user to view the entire content structure through a fullscreen overlay, thus ensuring a very direct entry into the different contents of the website.

The website presents itself like a magazine - with generous images, concise typography and different design options. This layout principle allows all content to be optimally displayed on all different end devices. And there is more than enough exciting content. Since its inception, the Hear the World Foundation has supported 80 projects in 39 countries, and more than 100 famous ambassadors - from Bryan Adams to Kate Moss to Wim Wenders - are now involved with the foundation. In addition, the site offers useful learning content on hearing and hearing loss.

Notch Interactive has developed 30 content modules that can be used flexibly across all content pages. This keeps the communicative possibilities flexible for the future and the layout can be easily and quickly adapted to new needs and content of the Hear the World Foundation. In addition, the site features an extensive teaser system to direct users to relevant content and subpages in a targeted manner.

Together with the customer, Notch Interactive chose Pimcore as the technical solution. Due to its modularity and design features, the CMS system offers a level of comfort and efficiency in content publishing that is otherwise only offered by large enterprise systems requiring a license. In addition, Pimcore provides the technical basis for dealing flexibly and cost-effectively with topics such as marketing automation, targeting and personalization in the future.
