Contexta leaves Bern and opts for urban nomadism

The Contexta agency is giving up its headquarters in Bern and will be operating as an "urban nomad" from August. The first temporary home: Zurich.

How the Bernese Newspaper reported on Saturday, the agency is parting ways with its permanent headquarters and plans to move to a new location every two to twelve months from August.

The agency's first move will be to Zurich, but the exact location has not yet been decided. The decision against a permanent workplace was made by the team. Company owner and boss Nadine Borter hopes that this will provide new insights for herself and her employees, as well as positive added value for her clients in the form of a "creative blessing".

Whether it's an outdoor pool, a café or Langstrasse. The important thing is that the potential locations are a source of inspiration for the employees. By planning to relocate every two to twelve months, Borter wants the agency to be constantly on the move, both physically and mentally.

However, not all employees benefit equally from this concept. A corresponding solution is currently being worked out for employees with caring responsibilities or families - such as Borter himself. Two employees were not at all convinced by the idea and will therefore be leaving the company; in addition, the employment contracts of six other employees were terminated for individual reasons. However, five new employees were recently hired, so the agency is currently undergoing a major transformation.
