Y7K: Delaneau surprises its customers digitally

Watch manufacturer Delaneau has decided to send the good wishes at the beginning of the year online - as a website. The greeting card has already been shared thousands of times.

The greeting card project is fascinating: Y7K transforms the Delaneau Key Visual into a digital kaleidoscope. Visitors to the Website fill the Delaneau artwork with life by moving the mouse pointer or tilting their smartphones. Often, mobile versions are not particularly popular, but this greeting card spread thousands of times via social media within 30 days, the agency writes. The website thus attracted more than 10,000 visitors.

For the kaleidoscope, Y7K used Web GL, a JavaScript API that draws complex 3D elements on the screen more smoothly. The project won the FWA Site of the Day award for mobile and desktop. "With this web experience, we wanted to show how something very personal, i.e. a greeting card, can become a global brand campaign to increase awareness," says Yves Sinka, partner at Y7K, "simply thanks to innovative conception."
