Rebel: Heroic promotion of young talent for SMGV

For the Swiss Painters' and Plasterers' Association SMGV, Rebel has put the profession of painter and plasterer in a new light with a cross-media campaign. Comic heroes on a creative mission are to ensure a supply of apprentices.

The website conveys the world of painters and plasterers in a playful way and aims to rekindle interest among young people in the creative professions, according to a statement on Monday. As the central platform of the promotion program, the responsive websites Become a painter.ch and Become a plasterer.ch developed. Comprehensive information on careers and further training opportunities, aptitude tests and access to current apprenticeships make it easier for potential apprentices to get started.

For the trilingual campaign, Rebel has realized further measures such as advertisements, outdoor advertising, occupational profiles, information and displays for occupational fairs, give-aways and a commercial. The latter will be shown in Swiss cinemas from 2014 and concludes the first stage of the current campaign.
