Deindeal takes over operational business from Dailydeal

The Swiss operations of the bargain portal Dailydeal are being taken over by its competitor Deindeal. In concrete terms, this means that the Dailydeal website will now only offer products from the Deindeal portal, which belongs to Ringier.

Dailydeal belonged to the Google Group from September 2011 to February 2013. Nine months ago, company founders Fabian and Ferry Heilemann bought the shopping portal back from the internet giant, as company spokesperson Michael Hensch explained on request. However, Hensch is unable to provide any information on the purchase price at the time or the current sale price to Deindeal. The Heilemann brothers launched Dailydeal in September 2009. Like the creators of Deindeal, they drew inspiration from the US bargain portal Groupon, which is also active in Switzerland. Dailydeal is also available in Germany and Austria. In the two neighboring countries, it will continue to operate independently of Deindeal and thus Ringier. Deindeal has been in existence since February 2010 and currently has around 600,000 registered customers in Switzerland. (SDA)
