Felix Partner nominated for German Design Award

The book "Swiss Housing Projects by Felix Partner" was named Winner 2013 at the Iconic Awards in the Communication category on June 27 and is therefore taking part in the German Design Award.

The Iconic Awards honor visionary architecture, innovative products and sustainable communication from all areas of architecture and the construction and real estate industry. The competition thus draws attention to the interplay between individual trades. The focus is on the holistic presentation of products in architecture.

With this award, the architecture and design firm Felix Partner has also qualified to take part in the German Design Award and is a nominee for 2014. The German Design Award recognizes products and projects in product and communication design. The initiator and organizer of both awards is the German Design Council.

About the book

Felix Partner is the brainchild of Peter Felix, architect, and Rahel M. Felix, designer and marketing communications planner. Using built and unbuilt projects from recent years, the book aims to explain the approach that architecture and design should deal with the entire value chain of a construction project. This ranges from real estate valuation and project development to project financing, planning and execution, including marketing and furnishing. The Zurich-based architecture and design firm covers all these areas. "Swiss Housing Projects" uses thirteen selected projects to showcase the work of Felix Partner. The various aspects are explored with contributions from Kenneth Frampton, Thomas Held and Ulrike Gölker Zeugin. Portraits with residents and clients provide additional personal insights.
