CVP has new head of communications

On Monday, the executive committee of the Swiss CVP elected Thomas Jauch as the party's new Head of Communications. He succeeds Marianne Binder, who has stepped down after eight years in office.

Jauch is a federally certified PR consultant and currently works at the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), where he is head of communications in the area of communicable diseases. Previously, the 40-year-old was a media spokesman for the Bern cantonal police and a Lucerne city police officer.
Marianne Binder wants to concentrate on her own political career: She was elected to the Grand Council for the CVP-Aargau last fall. (SDA)
