News Aktuell is looking for the best PR picture

The SDA subsidiary New Aktuell is again looking for the best PR picture of the past twelve months in 2013. This year, for the first time, there will be a separate PR Picture of the Year for Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

News Aktuell and its partners APA-OTS and News Aktuell Deutschland, together with the magazine Persönlich, thus want to reflect the cultural characteristics of the respective country in visual communication. "In the digital age, attention is a high commodity. PR departments and communicators create resonance through strong images and original motifs. The visual component of a message ensures that the message is remembered. We're looking forward to seeing great photos and awarding prizes to the best work from the communications industry with the PR Image Award," says Frank Stadthoewer, Managing Director of News Aktuell Germany.

PR experts from Switzerland, Germany and Austria have until June 14 to apply for the PR Image Award 2013. The competition is aimed at companies, organizations and agencies and is being held for the eighth time this year. At Pr-picture-award.ch applicants can upload as many photos as they wish. The prerequisite for the application is that they have used the images for media work or communication in the past twelve months.

Last year, more than 500 companies took part in the PR Image Award and submitted a total of more than 1'500 images. In the current competition, the categories are Corporate Communications, Event and Trade Fair, Product Photo, Portrait and NGO Photo. This year, there is also a special category for tourism and leisure. According to a statement, News Aktuell wants to take into account the importance of the tourism and leisure industry in the entire DACH region.

After the submission phase, an international jury selects the shortlist of 60 images from all the applications. Subsequently, PR professionals and media representatives vote in a public poll to select the best PR image of 2013 as well as six category winners. News Aktuell will announce the winners in October.
