Who's Mcqueen expands directing portfolio
Who's Mcqueen Picture has signed two new directors: Stian Smestad and Jappe Päivinen will be represented exclusively in Switzerland by the Zurich-based advertising film production company.
Stian Smestad comes from Norway and has already attracted attention with award-winning short films during his studies. From 2008 his commercials were awarded in Cannes, at ADC Germany, LIA as well as the Klappe.
The Finn Jappe Päivinen has been making a name for himself for over ten years with his whimsical sense of humor and finely staged scenes, according to a statement. Dialogue is as close to his heart as visual effects, CGI, 3D animation or special camera techniques such as motion control. This has earned him a number of awards, including at Epica, Clio, Cresta, Golden Drum and the New York Festival.
