ADC Switzerland: Seven new members admitted

Not everyone who wants to join the Art Directors Club (ADC) Switzerland is allowed to. This year, 15 interested parties applied - just under half were accepted.

ADC is the association of leading creative professionals in the communications industry. According to a press release, only "those who have made a substantial creative contribution to several works awarded by ADC Switzerland or can demonstrate excellence in other ways in the advertising environment or in the fields of digital, design, photography, architecture, film and music" will be accepted as new members.

Fifteen interested parties applied for ADC membership this year and submitted their best work. Of these, seven submissions were judged outstanding by the admission committee. Newly admitted to ADC are:

- Inken Rohweder Freelancer
- Dennis Lück Draftfcb/Lowe
- Marco Zimmerli Wirz Advertising
- Markus Schärer Wirz Advertising
- Renzo Selmi Selmi recording studio
- Maurus Zehnder Jung von Matt/Limmat
- Martin Arnold Adweek AKQA

The 2012 Admissions Committee was composed as follows: Markus Gut, Alexander Jaggy, Markus Ruf and Martin Spillmann (Presidium), the board members Frank Bodin, Remy Fabrikant and Philipp Skrabal as well as the ADC members Thomas Kurzmeyer, Markus Rottmann, Walter Rüegg and Uwe Schlupp.
