Two Berlin students have launched the project of an individualized printed daily newspaper. The aim, they say, is to enable users to compile the content they want from the print and online news worlds into a personalized daily newspaper with just a few clicks, which will then be waiting for them in their mailbox at six in the morning.

Two Berlin students have launched the project of an individualized printed daily newspaper. The aim, they say, is to enable users to compile the content they want from the print and online news worlds into a personalized daily newspaper with just a few clicks, which will then be waiting for them in their mailbox at six in the morning. The Niiu project by Hendrik Tiedemann and Wanja Sören Oberhof is the first individualized printed daily newspaper in Germany, explains 23-year-old Oberhof in an interview with Pressetext. The difference to a similar product, which was tested for a few weeks in Switzerland, is that the launch of Niiu is not a market test, but a market entry. Interested parties have been able to register on Niiu.de since October 13, and the first newspaper delivery will take place on November 16. A total of 17 national, regional and international newspapers, such as the New York Times, and content from around 500 online providers are already available, from which users can put together a 24-page individual newspaper.
