Logitech wins GfM Marketing Award 2008

Logitech won the GfM Marketing Award of the Year 2008 for outstanding marketing performance. Special recognition was given to the company's long-standing and profitable growth, based on a strong culture of innovation.

Logitech has won the GfM Marketing Award of the Year 2008 for outstanding marketing performance. The Society for Marketing, at whose 67th General Assembly the award was presented, recognized the manufacturer of peripherals for its commercial success in recent years. For more than a quarter of a century, the company has manufactured products that stand for design, quality and innovation, the GfM said.
Special recognition was given at the event, which was held at the Dolder in Zurich, for the company's long-standing and profitable growth, based on a strong culture of innovation. In his acceptance speech, Gerald Quindlen, President and CEO of Logitech, said he was delighted to receive such an important award in Switzerland, where the company's history began 27 years ago.
Logitech's peripherals for PCs and consumer electronics are sold in more than 100 countries. The company, which has Swiss roots, employs over 9,000 people in more than 30 countries, and it achieved annual sales of 2.4 billion US dollars in 2008. The GfM Marketing Prize, worth 20,000 Swiss francs, has been awarded annually since 1984 to personalities and companies that stand out for their outstanding marketing achievements.
