"I just couldn't get rid of the news fever," says Dominik Meier. That's why he decided to move from "Rundschau" to Radio SRF's Federal Palace editorial department in the summer of 2022. "After almost three years at 'Rundschau,' I felt: I remained a news journalist at heart. I want to report on current political events again and be able to do independent research," the 43-year-old was quoted as saying in an SRF statement.

"At 'Rundschau', I was able to work with a great team on important research for our country, for example on Crypto or Ruag, and accompany a very large audience through the pandemic - what a privilege," says Dominik Meier. The decision to leave was not easy for him, but he is looking forward to working in the Federal Parliament team.

Before "Rundschau," Dominik Meier had already worked for Radio SRF for eleven years, first as a regional editor, later in the domestic editorial department, and most recently as a Federal Parliament correspondent and anchorman and team leader for "Samstagsrundschau. The Solothurn native studied contemporary history, journalism and political science at the University of Fribourg.

According to SRF, Dominik Meier's successor at "Rundschau" has not yet been determined.
