Sara Roloff appointed Market Group Manager Asia Pacific at Switzerland Tourism

Sara Roloff, currently Head of Market Japan at Switzerland Tourism ST, has been elected as the new Market Group Head for the Asia-Pacific region. She will take up her new position at the beginning of January 2022.

In addition to her current role as Director of ST Japan, Sara Roloff will support and guide the store managers there in planning their activities and implementing ST's strategy as part of her new duties as Head of Asia Pacific. At ST, the Asia-Pacific region comprises the Greater China, Southeast Asia, Korea, India, Japan and Australia/New Zealand markets. Roloff will also be a new member of ST's extended management team.

Talented manager and communicator

Roloff, who lived in Japan for a year in her youth, has in-depth experience and knowledge of tourism and Swiss tourism promotion on an international level. The 39-year-old holds a UAS diploma in communication and soon an MBA from the University of Bradford.

Prior to ST, Sara Roloff worked as Marketing/PR Officer and Member of the Executive Board at the Giardino Hotel Group and at the Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organization. In 2014, she joined the ST team in London as Media Officer and Deputy Director of ST UK/Ireland.

Roloff joined ST Japan as director in Tokyo on Oct. 1, 2020, and will now be tasked with working with ST professionals on the ground to address the challenges associated with the recovery of tourism to Switzerland for the greater Asia-Pacific region.

Sara Roloff succeeds Simon Bosshart, who will be appointed Head of Markets East as of January 1, 2022 (Werbewoche.ch reported).
