SonntagsBlick reassigns federal parliamentary editorial staff

The SonntagsBlick is reorganizing its editorial team at the Federal Parliament: As of January 1, 2023, Peter Aeschlimann will report from Bern, and already as of November 1, business editor Danny Schlumpf will move to the Federal Parliament.

The 45-year-old Peter Aeschlimann studied journalism and communications in Winterthur and spent eight years as an editor at the Tages-Anzeiger. Since 2017 he has been working at the Observer. Peter Aeschlimann will take up his post as editor of the Federal Parliament on January 1, 2023, and says: "Already at the Tagi I reported on Glättli, Tuena and Badran from the Zurich city parliament, now I'm looking forward to seeing them again in the Federal Parliament."

As early as November 1, 43-year-old Danny Schlumpf will move to the Federal Parliament. Schlumpf studied history and philosophy in Zurich. Before entering journalism, he worked as a lecturer, high school teacher and author. Since 2019, he has been working for the SonntagsBlick first in the magazine, and since summer 2019 as business editor. There, he focuses in particular on financial, energy and health topics.

SonntagsBlickEditor-in-Chief Gieri Cavelty is looking forward to the new duo: "Peter and Danny are two outstanding researchers and excellent writers. As a team, they will complement each other perfectly. SonntagsBlick couldn't enter the 2023 election year in a better position."

Danny Schlumpf's successor as business editor will be 41-year-old Sven Zaugg, who has been working as a reporter for the SonntagsBlick is active. Camilla Alabor (34), previously a correspondent for the Federal Parliament, will be the new domestic editor for the SonntagsBlick be active.
