"Basel liest BaZ": Mona and Mateo create campaign for the Basel newspaper

The Basler Zeitung is as much a part of the city as the Rhine, the carnival or -minu. Anyone who lives here reads the BaZ. Those who do not yet do so should be persuaded to do so. To this end, the agency Mona und Mateo has created the new campaign "Basel liest BaZ".

Basel eyes read what the Basler Zeitung writes every day: the real-time campaign advertises programmatically on digital out-of-home and social media, in cinemas and on display ads, what the BaZ has to offer in terms of subscription content. The design of the advertising media is derived from the iconic red bar logo, between which inquisitive readers look at the high-quality content. The fresh look is also intended to convince new target groups of the benefits of quality journalism from the Basel region via subscription.

"With 'Basel liest BaZ', we are living up to the claim of the Basler Zeitung; the newspaper should be read in and around Basel, and the quality and added value of a subscription should be clear and communicated. In this way, we are strengthening the traditional brand and the growth of (digital) subscribers," says Olivier Goetschi, Marketing Manager at Tamedia.

The campaign has been running on all channels in the Basel region since June 13.
