This not only sets the direction in terms of content, Annabelle also takes a stance on the political debates of recent weeks. On its four different covers, the women's magazine celebrates love in all its facets. The subjects show a homosexual couple, a black woman in a white hand, a grandmother with her grandson, and top model Ronja Furrer and musician Stress in an intimate embrace.

"We are not facing a normal summer. But a very important one," writes editor-in-chief Jacqueline Krause-Blouin in her editorial, pointing out that the issue is being published in the midst of the "Black Lives Matter" movement. "We think it is important to become even more political, which is why in the context of current world events, the subject of the black in the white hand is particularly close to my heart," Krause-Blouin said in a statement. "Also, two men kissing on the cover of our magazine has never happened before, to my knowledge. With this emblem, we celebrate marriage for all."
