Publicom prevailed over three competitors in an open procedure according to WTO standards. In an initial phase, the Media Diversity Monitor is scheduled to run for four years and aims to determine the importance of media genres and individual media brands for shaping the opinions of the Swiss population. On the one hand, the project consists of a representative survey of the population, which is realized in cooperation with the LINK Institute for Market and Social Research. On the other hand, secondary analyses of the currency studies of WEMF, Mediapulse and Net-Metrix, as well as economic-structural analysis of the media landscape are included. For the market studies, Publicom has secured the collaboration of Ueli Custer, one of Switzerland's most distinguished media analysts. It is planned to make the findings of the Media Diversity Monitor available to a broad public on the web. For the preparation and visualization of the study results, Publicom is cooperating with the Zurich Internet agency Net Working. The first results from the Swiss Media Diversity Monitor will be presented to the public in summer 2018.
