SKS launches platform for complaints

The Foundation for Consumer Protection wants to make it easier for consumers to submit complaints to companies. On Friday, it launched a website on which complaints can be recorded and forwarded to the relevant authorities.

Thanks to the new platform Beschwerdeleicht.ch complaints could be recorded within minutes, without the need for time-consuming searches for the responsible office in the company or waiting in telephone queues, wrote the Foundation for Consumer Protection (SKS). It wants to ensure that complaints reach the right place and have an effect. Every year, the SKS receives hundreds of reports from frustrated consumers due to poorly processed complaints, SKS Managing Director Sara Stalder was quoted as saying in the press release. In turn, the SKS wants to offer companies an interactive tool with which they can handle complaints.

Complaints can be recorded on the platform and forwarded to the responsible department of a company. A chat function also enables a direct exchange between customers and companies, and customers can rate a company's complaint management. According to SKS, the free consumer platform is independent of business and politics, and it works without advertising or access to customer data for advertising purposes. (SDA)
