Jonas Projer becomes new Arena presenter
The "Arena" is getting a new presenter: Jonas Projer, currently a television correspondent in Brussels, will take over from Urs Wiedmer at the end of August 2014, who is moving to the Federal Parliament editorial office in the summer.
Jonas Projer has been working for Swiss television since 2006. In addition to two internships as a correspondent in Washington and Brussels, he completed a stage at "Schweiz aktuell" and worked in various editorial offices such as "10vor10", "ECO" and "Tagesschau". In August 2009, he took up the position of domestic TV correspondent for Zurich and Schaffhausen. He then moved to Brussels as TV foreign correspondent in 2011.
At the end of August 2014, Jonas Projer will start as a presenter on "Arena". He succeeds Urs Wiedmer, who has decided to report from the Federal Palace for Swiss radio and television in future. Wiedmer will continue to host the political discussion program until the summer break in July 2014.
