Investigative journalism sought

Tamedia and the Sonntagszeitung, in cooperation with the Swiss School of Journalism Maz, are inviting applications for the third time for the Investigative Journalism Support Program.

It aims to promote journalistic quality in the field of investigative journalism and is announced annually. Le Matin Dimanche, the Sunday newspaper's partner newspaper in French-speaking Switzerland, offers a similar program together with Tamedia. Outstanding research and reportage are considered. The decisive factor is the competent, differentiated, lively and generally comprehensible communication of complex topics. The contributions submitted should make interrelationships and developments comprehensible to a broad audience. Works are honored that are distinguished by original, thorough research, critical background information, powerful analysis and clear language, and that are exemplary because of their public impact.

The sponsorship program is aimed at applicants who have not yet reached the age of 35 and have a degree in journalism (Maz, ZHAW, CRFJ). Selection is made by the Sunday newspaper's editorial board and the Maz. Participants will be given the opportunity for one year of paid further training in the field, at the research desk in Bern as of April 1, 2014.
