SRG launches new platform

SRG Deutschschweiz has launched "SRG Insider. The platform is intended to provide young people interested in the media with interesting information about the sponsor, the company and the program, as well as offering opportunities for dialog.

In addition, registered users can participate in promotions and raffles, as SRG writes in a statement on Tuesday. Registration is free and open to people up to the age of 34. According to SRG, the opinions of young users are particularly sought after: questions on media, corporate and programming policy are regularly put up for discussion and surveys are launched on behalf of the Audience Council, which monitors broadcasts on Swiss radio and television every month. The online offering is supplemented with a weekly selection of "young" program tips.

Sensitize young people to the topic of "public service

The platform "SRG Insider" was born out of the need to draw the attention of a younger target group with an interest in the media to the activities and offerings of SRG SSR and SRG Deutschschweiz and to raise awareness of the issue of "public service", according to the statement. The new online offering is part of the multi-year "Blickwechsel" action program, which SRG.D launched in 2011 to play its civic role more effectively. The platform is also intended to attract new members to SRG.
