The YouGov Group is to acquire 100 percent of the shares in the market and social research company Link Marketing Services. An agreement was signed on Wednesday, making Link part of the YouGov Group.

Link Marketing

This transaction marks the successful conclusion of a careful selection process of existing Link shareholders, according to a Link statement. Following the realignment of Link and years of earnings-oriented growth under new operational management, the shareholders had decided to hand over corporate responsibility as a whole to a new owner.

The aim of the existing shareholders was to structure their succession in such a way as to ensure entrepreneurial management, preserve Link's character as an independent company with its own range of services, and secure its long-term development prospects.

With the takeover by YouGov, the set goals have been achieved, the statement continues. As part of the YouGov Group, Link will be led by the existing proven management team and will continue to operate independently. At the same time, Link will have access to YouGov's data products.

Goal: Market leadership in the DACH region

"In YouGov, we have found a successor who shares our management philosophy and, like us, has been growing with increasing margins for several years. As innovation leaders in their markets, the two companies complement each other perfectly and together have excellent prerequisites for dynamic growth," explains Lodovico Simone, Chairman of Link's Board of Directors.

No personnel changes are planned as a result of the merger. There will also be no changes to the contact persons and managing directors at Link zufogle. The organization and all obligations of the company will continue to exist.
