Charles Blunier & Co. implements comprehensive rebranding for the Dolder Grand

Since summer 2019, Creative Director Charles Blunier's agency has been working on the extensive rebranding for the tradition-rich luxury hotel on Zurichberg. The future communication focus will be on the art, the design as well as the modern lifestyle of the hotel. "Our goal is to position the Dolder Grand as a premium lifestyle brand," says Charles Blunier.

A new, reduced color and visual language was created to give the brand identity a powerful expression and convey the Dolder Grand's attitude to life. Various partners were brought on board for the implementation, including the architectural and art photographers Hiepler, Brunier, the Bruce High Quality Foundation, and the artists and photographers Christopher Anderson, Chris Heads, Thanassis Krikis, and Cyrill Matter.

Mark Jacob, Managing Director of Dolder Hotel AG, explains: "By revising the visual identity, we are paying tribute to the origins of the Dolder Grand. In addition, we are setting a visible sign for successful further development."

So far, the logo, the typeface, the visual language and the design of all brochures have been newly realized. The rebranding will be completed in summer 2020. The website will then also be launched with the new look. Until then, an "interim solution" is active.
