Swiss Poster Award 2021: 34 campaigns on the shortlist
The Swiss Poster Award is the largest creative competition for analog, digital and innovative outdoor advertising in Switzerland. Despite Corona, 2021 was a good year: The jury nominated 33 campaigns from around 220 submissions. The winners of the awards in six categories will be announced at the beginning of March 2022.
The independent jury of experts, consisting of 18 personalities from advertising, culture and design, evaluated around 220 competition entries under the leadership of jury president Christian Brändle, director of the Museum of Design Zurich.
"We received around 70 more submissions than in the previous year, which is a pleasing increase. A total of 33 campaigns made it onto the coveted shortlist for the Swiss Poster Award 2021. The nominated works impressed the jury with their originality, implementation of the advertising message and design execution," explains Brändle.
What stood out in the 2021 posting year was the expressiveness and linguistic power of the campaigns, which made people look and think. In addition, advertising messages were increasingly implemented digitally, thus creating more dynamism. In addition, the Out of Home Innovations category once again proved that there are virtually no limits to outdoor advertising.
Consequently, the shortlist shows very different clients and areas of application for Out of Home Media.
Award ceremony in March - no Poster Night
Who will finally win the category awards and the overall prize for the "Poster of the Year 2021" will be announced again in a small circle at the beginning of March, since due to corona the traditional "APG|SGA Poster Night 2022" has to be cancelled.
