Martha Boeckenfeld becomes partner and dean of Metaverse Academy

Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld will newly serve as partner and dean of Zurich-based agency Kuble's Metaverse Academy. She will preside over the curriculum and faculty for the digital academic campus and also teach herself.

Two months after Kuble launched the Metaverse Academy, it is evident that the first two courses "Relationship Economy & Metaverse" and "Web3 & Metaverse Strategist" perfectly address the great demand for knowledge and exchange around virtual, experiential and interactive parallel worlds. A virtual educational institution developed with an immersive campus-like community to promote knowledge about the Metaverse, Web3 and NFTs.

Metaverse Academy is led by world-class, multi-disciplinary faculty members, with a strong alumni network, as we have seen from leading universities in the real world.

From now on, Kuble will be accompanied on this path by Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld, who will newly serve as partner and dean of Metaverse Academy. In this role, she will preside over the curriculum and faculty for the digital academic campus, as well as teach herself. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and was most recently responsible for Digital Platforms & Ecosystems at UBS. She is a thought leader who is passionate about technology, blockchain, and the metaverse, and firmly believes that the key factors in dynamically driving digital transformation are the mindset of digital leaders and the innovation to develop and implement forward-thinking concepts.

"With the Metaverse Academy, we are lowering the barrier of entry to the 'Metaverse experience' by integrating both technical and strategic perspectives that give companies and their employees insight into what the Metaverse can do for their industry," said Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld.

An Academy for the Metaverse, about the Metaverse, in the Metaverse.

Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld on the starting point of her engagement: "While there has been a real hype around the term 'metaverse', most people cannot explain what the metaverse is and what business opportunities exist for their companies or themselves as individuals in the age of Web3. However, the need for metaverse experts is growing explosively. The reality is that there are not enough experienced Metaverse experts to fill these new roles. The concept of the Metaverse Academy is unique globally and the Kuble team has already laid a great foundation as pioneers. I'm very excited to work with them and faculty members to build a 'Metaverse education for everyone, everywhere'."

Gustavo Salami, who as founder and partner at Kuble conceived the Metaverse Academy, is also already looking ahead: "Martha is the ideal professional and human candidate for the role of Dean. She also shares our vision and that is why I am convinced that we can successfully expand and scale the Metaverse Academy together with her. In the near future, we will launch an offering with workshops and 1:1 sessions for C-level executives."

Martha Boeckenfeld (Thought Leader, Advisor) has extensive experience with platform economics, dynamic ecosystems, digital business, digital transformation and customer experience. As a thought leader with a passion for technology, blockchain and the metaverse, she strongly believes that the key factors for a dynamic digital transformation are the mindset of digital leaders and the power of innovation to develop and implement forward-looking concepts. She has spent more than 20 years working internationally, as a financial services executive and non-executive in institutions such as UBS, Unicredit, Generali, Kleinwort Benson and Axa.

Martha Boeckenfeld has several consulting engagements, including GenTwo/AssetRush. She is also an ambassador for AllStarsWomen NFT Club and DAO, a women's network in the Metaverse for female founders, entrepreneurs and investors. Likewise, she is involved with Beyond Gender Agenda, which aims to improve the long-term international competitiveness of German business by integrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) into the DNA of listed and mid-sized companies.
