Localsearch enters the key service business

Localsearch launches LocalXpress, the online broker for emergency door openings at a fixed price throughout Switzerland. The new platform is intended to ensure price transparency for locksmiths and aims to score points with a practical live tracker.

Localsearch, digital agency for Swiss SMEs and operator of Local.ch and Search.ch, launches LocalXpress, an online intermediary for emergency door openings. The service mediates contact between foreclosed apartment dwellers and registered locksmiths, providing both parties with an Uber-like platform to do so.

LocalXpress is based on a transparent fixed-price model and clearly regulated terms and conditions. This is intended to make nasty surprises and price disputes after the door has been opened a thing of the past. LocalXpress also wants to put an end to worries about missing cash: in addition to cash payment, participating locksmiths at least also offer payment by card or invoice. Another user-friendly feature is the live tracker. The location function is integrated into the platform and allows the user to track the current whereabouts of the ordered locksmith.

For opening a locked door, the associated locksmiths charge fixed prices valid throughout Switzerland. These are published transparently on the LocalXpress platform. Only the material costs, for example for a new cylinder, are additionally charged to the customer by the locksmith. Use of the service is free of charge for consumers.

All key services that have an advertising product from Localsearch can register with the LocalXpress mediation service. LocalXpress is already available in many regions of German and French-speaking Switzerland, and an integration of Ticino is in the works. The service will be continuously expanded in the coming months, according to the statement.
