With the "Gstaad Digital Festival", the internationally renowned Gstaad Menuhin Festival, which will take place from July to September 2017, is getting a new addition in the form of a digital presence. About the website Gstaaddigitalfestival.ch and with a Swisscom TV app, media content such as livestreams, 360° videos, exclusive concert recordings and backstage reports can be accessed before, during and after the festival and thus, for example, the concert by world-famous Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang in the church in Saanen on July 20 can be followed live. Thanks to the modern and responsive platform, classical music enthusiasts can access the videos and livestreams from anywhere and thus participate virtually in the Gstaad Menuhin Festival.

Latest technologies in use

To provide visitors, as well as the festival's editors, with a simple and user-friendly experience on the new video platform, Swisscom Event & Media Solutions and Neofonie rely on a powerful video manager and a flexible cloud infrastructure. Together with a user-friendly and multi-client capable content management system (CMS), which is used to manage the content, the result is an easy-to-use and modern interface.

Christoph Müller, CEO and artistic director of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival , is excited about the possibilities of the new video platform: "We want to give our customers added value. On the one hand, through live streaming of various concert highlights, and on the other hand, by operating a year-round communication. We will regularly put new concert videos on the platform. A cinematic feature section, where background articles and reviews are published, is also an idea. And, of course, 360° videos."
